Design and construction of Banja Luka – Doboj Motorway, Section Banja Luka – Prnjavor (km 0+000 to km 35+300) Contract no. RS/EIB-2012/W

Investor: Public company “Republic of Srpska Motorways“

Value of works: 184,9 m EUR (361,6m BAM)

Broader context of the project:
The existing main road M16.1 from Banja Luka to Doboj, via Derventa, plays a very important role in the European long-distance transportation system. For the large part of both Republic of Srpska and Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, this road is a major connection with western and eastern Europe considering that 50% of industrial and social potential of the Republic of Srpska is concentrated in the area along the road.

That is why Banja Luka – Doboj motorway has the most significant infrastructure potential for further integration within the Republic of Srpska. The motorway will connect already constructed Gradiška – Banja Luka motorway (E 661) with future motorway on Corridor 5c. After being completed, the motorway will become the arterial road in the transit traffic with positive influence on the commercial and trade activities in the region.

The project is divided into two lots (contracts): section Banja Luka – Prnjavor and section Prnjavor – Doboj.

About the project (section Banja Luka – Prnjavor):
Integral inženjering plc, together with Granit (Skopje), is very proud for being selected as the Main Constructor of Banja Luka – Doboj motorway (section Banja Luka – Prnjavor) at very competitive international tender. The  works are in progress and we proved that we are  technically and professionally able to play the key role in this project of the significant international importance.

The works include design and construction of:
– motorway section in total length l = 33,5 km, with all structures;
– motorway intersection with toll plaza;
– Traffic Control and Maintenance Center;
– rest and service area;
– 63 structures: among others,  1 major bridge of l = 340 m and 6 smaller;  3 major viaducts of l = 449 m, l = 400 and  l = 146 m, respectively and 4 smaller;  9 overpasses,  tunnel,  underpass, passages;
-intelligent traffic, video surveillance and traffic management systems; design and construction of traffic signalization and equipment, installation of optical cables and Emergency Call System, noise protection, installation for dewatering of rainwater system.

Investor: Public company “Corridors of Serbia”

Value of works: 63,8 m EUR (124,7 m BAM)

Broader context of the project:
Corridor 10 is one of the most important pan-European transport corridors that runs through Serbia. Declared goals of the Government of the Republic of Serbia are (1) to create a transport system that will be compatible with the transport system of the European Union, (2) further modernisation, so that the Republic of Serbia would be prepared to adhere to the standards of the European Union which refer to transport. The programme of construction of the Corridor 10 through Serbia is conducted  through four projects that have been divided into sections and the sections into lots (contracts). From the perspective of construction works, the sections and lots consist of special structures such as tunnels, bridges, overbridges, overpasses and alike. After its finalization, the motorway would have a positive influence on the commercial and trade activities in the region and would contribute to the regional development and cohesion of the broader area of the Balkans.

Because of the programme’s importance, scope and value of the works, some of the leading international construction companies are competing and executing works there.

About the project (subsection Caričina Dolina – Tunnel Manajle):
„Integral Inženjering“ plc. is very proud for being selected, together with its partners, as the Main Constructor at subsection Caričina Dolina – Tunnel Manajle. The subsection is one of the most demanding subsections of the motorway on Corridor 10 in the Republic of Serbia, because the works are executed in the Grdelica Canyon. This is our the most important and the biggest project on very competitive construction market of the Republic of Serbia.

The works include construction of motorway section in total length l= 6,75 km, with all structures:

-construction of 7 bridges on highway section, one bridge on local road, one railway bridge, 3 galleries, 28 culverts, relocation of 1 km of railway, relocation of 1,3 km of local roads, works on regulation of the River Južna Morava, the River Sokolnica and the River Koznička;

-relocation of high-, medium- and low-voltage lines, construction of telecommunication channelization,  drainage works, supply and installation of traffic signalization and equipment, noise protection walls and landscaping.

Construction of headrace tunnel, intake structure and advance headings for the Dabar HPP and investigation and design works during construction (Contract No. 434-18/16, our ref. 287/16 dated 17-Mar-2016)

Value of works: 67 m EUR (131 m BAM)

Broader context of the Project:
The design of using of hydro system Trebišnjica is based on the construction of several hydro technical structures (dams, accumulations, open channels, tunnels and hydro power plants) with which water from karst fields of East Herzegovina is used for irrigation, control of floods and production of electricity. The construction of 7 hydro power plants and 6 accumulation basins in the system is planned to be constructed for production of electricity.
Four hydro power plants, which use water from “Bileća” accumulation basin are constructed up to now: HPP Trebinje I, HPP Trebinje II, HPP Dubrovnik and HPP Čapljina. They were successively commissioned from 1965 (HPP Dubrovnik) to 1981 (HPP Trebinje II).
Remaining 3 hydro power plants belong to subsystem “Gornji horizonti” and as it follows: HPP Nevesinje (61 MW), HPP Dabar (160 MW) and HPP Bileća (30 MW).
The subsystem “Gornji horizonti” includes using of water on section of the Gatačko field – the Zalomka river – the Nevesinje field – the Dabar field – the Fatnica field – the Bileća accumulation. Some water from north-west part of Nevesinje field will be used in this system in the final phase.

HPP Dabar is the first hydro power plant which will be constructed in area of Gornji horizonti.
The water from Pošćenje accumulation to HPP Dabar is carried through headrace tunnel of length of 12.1 km. The headrace tunnel passes through two different geological zones. The inlet structure is located near riverbed of the Zavidolska river and it is far from Pošćenje dam about 3.5 km. The grid and gate for tunnel closure for needs of control and maintenance are designed to be constructed. Two access tunnels (Straževica in length of 830 m and Vodostan in length of 295 m) are designed to be constructed for work execution.

Contracted are works as follows:
A.
INTAKE STRUCTURE, WORKING PLATEAU, CONTROL ROOM AND ACCESS ROAD
Intake structure, working plateau P=336.10m2 paved (AB11s and BNS32 d=5+10cm) on th embankment, steel railing around the plateau h=1.12m, hydrant network l= 290.00m DN100; Control room; Access road l=279.00m w=5.00m, road base d=45cm and pavement structure d=15cm; equipment-hydro-mechanical equipment for water intake structure; electrical equipment.

B. HEADRACE TUNNEL length l= 12,125.00m of longitudinal slope i=2.139‰; circular clearance of diameter D = 4.6m length 7,853.00m and horse-shoe cross-section l= 4,272.00m length of excavation 5.20m; construction technology: New Austrian Tunnel Method.

C. ADVANCE HEADINGS – Straževica tunnel and Vodostan tunnel
Straževica tunnel: straight-line tunnel l=651.57m, excavation slope i=7.54%, horse-shoe cross section height 5.5m; Vodostan

Construction of the drainage tunnel of Bileća Field – Phase I

Investor: Mixed Holding “Power Utility of the Republic of Srpska, Trebinje

Value of works: 4,6 m EUR (8,9 m BAM)

Project includes construction of hydrotechnical tunnel in the length of 1,725.00 m, circular cross-section and day of  2.70 m. Tunnel is straight, vertical grade is 0.40%, with reinforced-concrete single-layer lining thickness 25 cm, constructed by applying New Austrian Tunneling Method.

The project also includes construction of entrance structure with catchment tank and gallery in the length of 16 m, exit structures in the length of 11 m, two channels with catchment tank and vertical manhole, aquaduct bridge and culvert.

Construction of the canal through the Field Fatničko from the end of the balancing reservoir Pađeni to the tunell Dabar – Fatnica

Investor:  Mixed Holding “Power Utility of the Republic of Srpska, Trebinje

Value of works: 4,1 m EUR (8 m BAM)

Broader context of the Project:

The channel through Fatnica field is used for water passing from exit of Dabar – Fatnica tunnel to the entrance of Fatnica headrace tunnel – HPP Bileća which is in the construction phase.

The works are diveded in two sections:
Section 1 (l =2.086 m): is dimensioned on the flow Qmax=121,50 m3/s, which is the maximum capacity of the tunnel Fatnica – Bileća. Cross-section of canal is a trapezoidal canal bottom width 10m and slope 1:1,5. Reinforced concrete MB30 lining thickness 20 cm will be performed in sections length of 5m.

Section 2 (l = 491 m): is dimensioned on the flow Qmax=93,00 m3/s, which is the maximum capacity of the tunnel Dabar – Fatnica. Cross-section of canal is a trapezoidal canal with  slope 1:1,5.

Reinforced concrete MB30 lining thickness 20 cm will be performed in sections length of 5m.

Project includes construction of the bridge, which span is 27,40 m.

Works on construction of a balancing reservoir in Pađeni, Bileća, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Broader context of the Project:

Contracted works include:
-excavation in dilapidated limestone 70,000 m3;
-construction of RC balancing reservoir;
-construction of the section of RC channels;
-construction of the RC supporting structures, in total quantity of hydrotechnical concrete of 10,523 m3;
-ancillary works.

Construction of small hydro power plant “Bočac 2” – construction works

Investor:  Mixed Holding “Power Utility of the Republic of Srpska, Trebinje

Value of works: 9,9 m EUR (19,3 m BAM)

Facilities of the newly designed power plant are designed in left side profile, in the area between the road and spillways, and are oriented in row, parallel with the direction of river valley and existing roads. Power plant includes: firth canal, intake, headrace with transition section, intake structure, and discharge race. Installation and access platforms are constructed above the supply channels and on the top of the intake structure.

Mini hydro power plant (MHPP) entrance structure is consisted of two entrance fields which are continued by supply sections which supply water to the turbines. Entrance structure is equipped with grids for impurity retention, grid cleaner, slide gates, equipment for detection of grid blockage and equipment for measurement of upper level. Discharge structure, i.e. let-off of the each turbine is equipped with one-piece slide gate.

In accordance with technical solution, MHPP is consisted of the following parts:
• firth canal
• water supply
• intake structure
• discharge  race

Beside these works project includes construction of access road, mechanical and hydro mechanical equipment, HVAC, power supply equipment and installations and technical monitoring, survey marking, fire protection.

Construction/reconstruction of Banja Luka Basic and District Court, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Vrijednost radova: 5,2 miliona KM ili 2,7 miliona EUR

Ugovoreni su radovi na adaptaciji postojećeg objekta, rušenju dijela postojećeg objekta (aneksa) i izgradnji novog objekta (aneksa) Osnovnog suda u Banjoj Luci, kao i radovi na adaptaciji i nadogradnji 4. etaže Okružnog suda u Banjoj Luci.

Sadržaj ugovorenih radova:
– građevinsko-zanatski radovi;
– postavljanje električnih instalacija;
– postavljanje mašinskih instalacija;
– instalacija vodovoda i kanalizacije;
– vanjsko uređenje;
– izrada projekta izvedenog stanja.

Objekat Okružnog suda u Banjoj Luci je izgrađen 1964. godine. Objekat je spratnosti Po+P+3, dimenzija, 46,93m x 12,62m, neto površine 2.753,80 m2. Nadogradnjom se spratnost objekta povećava na Po+P+4. Objekat je javnog je karaktera (namjene).

Objekat Osnovnog suda u Banjoj Luci je izgrađen 1982. godine.  Objekat je dimenzija 33,8m x 13,4m + 19,7m x 10,5m + 12,9m x 42,4m x 6,6m + 6,6m, neto površine 2.589m2. Novi objekat (aneks) ima spratnost Po+P+4. Objekat je javnog karaktera (namjene).

Radovi na adaptaciji i sanaciji objekata će se izvoditi fazno, bez prekida njihovog korišćenja od strane korisnika.

Reconstruction of urban water supply system Kozarska Dubica – Phase II (Contract No. 01-404-39/15):

1) Reconstruction of urban water supply network; and
2) Connection of the zone VO6 (part of the settlements Draksenić, Demirovac and Gradina) and zone VO8 (settlement Međeđa) to unique water supply system „Kozarska Dubica“

– Construction of connecting pipelines in total length of 7.357,10m (PEHD PN6 DN32mm-5487,8 ; DN40mm-1009,40m ; DN50mm-33,90m; DN63mm-296,50m ; DN90mm-417,30m ; DN110mm-109,60m) and reconstruction of existing water meter shadts
3. Replacement of valves and removal of functioning faults
– replacement of broken valves, reconstruction of underground junctions; construction of transitions at the bridges over the channel using air valves; construction of sir valve sets in underground junctions; Installation of sludge discharge and underground hydrants
4. Reconstruction of larger measuring points in urban water supply system
– supply od material for reconstruction of existing water meter shafts; civil works on extension and widening of shafts
