5 KM OF RECONSTRUCTED MOTORWAY IN USE – BORDER CROSSING BATROVCI (THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA)

Within the project of heavy maintenance of state road of the first class (motorway) IA3, section: Border Croatia/Serbia (Batrovci) – Kuzmin, dated July 01, 2019, the part of reconstructed motorway in the total length of 5 km in both directions is in use. In this way, the border crossing will be partially lighten for passenger and heavy traffic which is of special importance for large number of regular passengers and tourists during the upcoming summer tourist season.

This project includes the works on investment maintenance (reconstruction) of the motorway in the total length of 21.65 km. The works on one of the most traffic-loaded road routes in the Republic of Serbia will be executed under the traffic (without its total stoppage). The planned works on the motorway alignment as well as the works in front of the toll station Šid in direction to Croatia and the works in front of the toll station Kuzmin are executed in this phase. The work execution on the bridge over the Bosut River started.

The project includes the following:

  • preliminary works,
  • works on road base and superstructure,
  • rehabilitation works on structures (bridges),
  • works on improvement of drainage system,
  • works on road belt,
  • placing of traffic signalization and
  • public lighting of motorway.
